Webinformat

Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This page explains what personal data the Webinformat site (webinformat.com) processes, why we process it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. You do not have to give us any personal data to read the site.

Who is responsible for the data

The operator of the site and of the personal data is Ciprian Zaharia. For any question about your data, write to us at admin@webinformat.com.

What data we process

Browsing the site

To deliver the pages, our hosting provider’s server receives your IP address and your browser’s technical data. The server does not keep an access log of the pages you request.

Cookies

Our site does not set cookies of its own. The cookies on the site belong to Google Analytics, described below. Your choice in our consent form is saved in your browser’s local storage, so the form does not appear on every page; it stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit the site and which pages they read. Google Analytics loads only after you click Accept in our consent form, for every visitor, wherever they are. Until then, and if you refuse, your browser sends nothing to Google. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

The consent form

Every visitor sees our consent form, where they can accept or refuse analytics cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal. If you refuse, you can use the site the same way, and Google Analytics does not load.

Google Analytics stores two cookies, only for visitors who accept: _ga, used to distinguish users, and _ga_<container-id>, used to keep the session state. Both last 2 years. Details are on Google Analytics cookie usage on websites. You can delete cookies at any time from your browser settings.

When you write to us

If you email admin@webinformat.com, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and your message. We use them only to answer you.

Legal bases

  • Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the GDPR) for analytics cookies.
  • Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in running and securing the site.
  • Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in answering the emails you send us.

Who we share data with

Data reaches our hosting provider, which also receives our email, and Google (Google Analytics). We do not sell personal data.

Google may transfer data to the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023, and it uses standard contractual clauses for transfers where required. Details are in Google’s data transfer frameworks.

How long we keep data

  • Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months. It keeps data linked to a visitor for 14 months after that visitor’s last visit, then deletes it automatically. Aggregated totals in its standard reports are not deleted by this setting.
  • Google Analytics cookies last 2 years, unless you delete them sooner.
  • Your choice in the consent form stays in your browser until you clear its site data.
  • Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and settle your request, then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
  • Our hosting provider’s server keeps no access log of the pages you request.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. For any of these requests, write to us at admin@webinformat.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (www.dataprotection.ro).

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you.

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your data based on our legitimate interest (Article 21 of the GDPR). Write to us at admin@webinformat.com. For analytics cookies, you can withdraw your consent at any time from the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer of the page.

Changes

We may update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
